It was late september of this year and i was marking tons of fish on the ff. i dropeed an eel straight down to them and couldnt get them to bite. after a half hour of that, i put on a 13" blamber on your 1oz jig head, and bam fish on. a 43" striper. dropped it back down again and fish instantly on again.A 42" this time.
long story short... wraping up the night on a dead calm tide. schoolie bass all evening. decided to try out a black hogy with a worm hook fished on top. first cast with it, only keeper of the night, had to leave the beach after that (wife calling). i hand it off to a buddy of mine, and you should hear the rest of this story from him. He apperently was killing them on that black hogy the rest of the night !

whaled on stripers with the Jiggn hogys on your 1oz jig head this fall on Martha's Vineyard.
All the striped bass I caught this season on plastic, were on Hogy's. Love the 10" & 13" jiggin'.
The first time I used Hogys I landed several 40+" stripers on them. And due to the different rigging options was able to stay on fish as the tide picked up and I need to go from lighter to heavier presentations.
I was doing some bottom fishing in Morro Bay for Rockfish and Lings. We were fishing with cut up squid catching a nice variety of Rockfish. When the bite slowed down I decided to rig up a 10inch Hogy Drop shot style and through it to the bottom. By the time I hit the bottom my Rod tip was jerking very hard. I reeled down on the fish and had several headshakes on the way up. When I finally boated the fish it was a 25lb lingcod (Jackpot). The ling demolished the bait but hey that's fishing and I had plenty more. After that my buddies were begging me to lend them one of my Hogy's. I fished my Hogy's for the remainder of the trip and also pulled in some 8-10lb Red Snapper. Next time I go out I am going to tie on two and see how that works. Thanks for developing an awesome bait. Jigging from Surf Drive in Falmouth off a jetty by the Stilt Houses. New moon with tide incoming. Caught a 36 inch Striper with a Black 10 inch Hogy on a lead head. Nice fish, good eating the next day and a lot of fun. Keeps me coming back for more fishing and buying more Hogy lures.
