Tarpon rolling everywhere. I usually fish topwater plugs for TARPON, but that day, the fish were very lazy and only produced some slow strikes. Time for the HOGY. No weight, tandom rigged, and worked slowly just under the surface. IT WAS ON!!!! Worked like a charm and had a blast with numerous jumps and one landed. Added a nice redfish during the chaos as well.

I was fishing for Striped Bass at Pyramid lake in California, mostly with cut baits. After the bite slowed down i switched to a Bone 14" with a darter head. I casted out and let it sink to a 10 count and slow rolled it. About 20 feet from the boat i watched my rod load up and the battle royal was on, i had hooked a nice fish that was pulling drag and putting up a good fight. After about 20 minutes of fighting the fish, i caught my biggest Striper to date. A 17 pounder. I owe it all to your baits.

There was this long floating dock that had tarpon laying up under it. They would come up and gulp air and ambush bait as it came by in the current. I figured out where the were rising then I would cast hogy with a worm hook in it on to the dock and wait for them to come up. When they did I would flip the hogy of the dock right on top of them. They would slam it every time. Was able to fish this for a solid month with all kinds of baits that would get a strike or two. But the hogys always got hit. I ran out of hogys after my fist 3 days 21 Tarpon strikes with 12 landed.
