A few words from fellow Hogy Anglers when asked to tell us about their favorite Hogy Story:

As Largemouth Lures:

-I was Bass fishing in December in a pond that was not completely frozen yet. And as you may know, Bass only come after something that is going to be worth their energy in the winter, so I rigged up a 10inch Chartreuse Hogy. Nothing for the first half hour, then just when I was going to five up I felt a little bit of a bite... very light, I yanked back set the hook and pulled out a 5lb. Large mouth... man that was awesome, Thanks Hogy.

As Striper Lures:

-Hogy's have boosted my surf fishing game to a new level. Prior to 2008, I had never caught a 40+" striper. I first started using hogys in 2007 and consistently caught fish to the high 30" range. I caught my first 40.5 inch fish on a 14inch black hogy in September 2008. In 2009, I got four fish over 40" on the same lure, with the best at 44.5inch and at least 35 lbs, my best striper ever!

-I whaled on stripers with the Jiggn hogys on your 1oz jig head this fall on Martha's Vineyard.

-My fishing buddy had a big striper blow up on his top water plug but miss, I threw a 14inch pearl hogy in the swirl and caught an 18 pound striper.

-42inch rockfish at head of Chesapeake bay last spring

-Starting using Hogy late on 2009 season, 14 inches on a 3/4 jig head have always produced 20 pound stripers & over.

-NO ONE ON OTHER BOATS WAS CATCHING STRIPER USING SHADS I WAS USING YOUR 9" HOGY SKINNY ON A UMBRELLA RIG LIMITED OUT IN 3 HOURS

As Sailfish Lures:

- Threw the 10inch Bone to a sailfish swimming along the beach in Hobe Sound. The fish lit up bright purple turned toward towards the lure and came up behind it. Followed it for a few seconds before pouncing on it and taking to the sky. Fought the fish in 4 feet of water for a couple of minutes before he threw it back at me. Very thrilling to see the big fish following the moving eel.

As Fluke Lures:

- First time I used it I had a big doormat fluke come all the way to the surface to take my hogy lure but it saw the boat and was frightened away.

Squidbert:

- I have had very good success utilizing the squidbert hogy lure during the spring squid on the Southside cape. I even had my wife get involved in the creation of the squidbert lures. She was amazed at how life-like the lures looked in and out of the water with the modifications. It was pretty cool working with my wife to cut the tentacles, add the rattles, and sharpie marker eyes - she was very pleased with her "arts and crafts" project! The look of pride and satisfaction on her face when she caught a nice bass on her "hand-made" lure was priceless! It was one of the highlights of my fishing season! =)

As Blue Water Lures:

- My wife catching a 180 pound striped Marlin on a rigged Hogy in Cabo san Lucas last season

- Trolling the Washington canyon out of OCMD I watched a white marlin inhale your 10in pink hogy with a purple islander tracker on top of it. The next trip we caught a dozen yellowfins, a pair of wahoos and a hand full of dolphins in 30 fathoms behind the hotdog lump mostly on islander hogy combos. Cant wait to try them on the WWB for big bluefins.

- I went out on my b-day out of San Diego on a over night to do some tuna fishing so when we got there we started fishing. So I rigged a 10in hogy and casted on my second cast I hooked in to a 65lb blue fin that took me around the boat a couple of times, and I had a great time.

As Tuna Lures:

- Had an epic day south of Block Island crushing blue fin on your lures. After a frustrating and not real productive troll switched to Hogies. Pink and White 10inch with owner jig heads. The crew called me crazy but I hooked up on the first cast. 6 fish for the day 50-100 pounds. Not bad for south of BI in August on the spin.”

-Well I've caught so many tunas on them but my best hogy story is the next one if yaw know what I mean...

As Tarpon Lures:

-One Saturday morning in late August my friend and I went fishing for Tarpon off of Biscayne Bay. There were a lot of Tarpon rolling and hitting baits everywhere. We threw everything at them, and I mean everything then I remembered that had just purchased some of your lures. I cast out a black 7inch Tandem Hogy and would you believe it was the only lure these Tarpon would hit. We didn't catch any record size Tarpon but we were really amazed that these Tarpon were really turned on to these Hogy's and no other lure... Keep up the excellent work!

- There was this long floating dock that had tarpon laying up under it. They would come up and gulp air and ambush bait as it came by in the current. I figured out where the were rising then I would cast hogy with a worm hook in it on to the dock and wait for them to come up. When they did I would flip the hogy of the dock right on top of them. They would slam it every time. Only problem was the hogy was trashed. It was over 85 degrees and they would get real soft. Even tore them up trying to put hook in hogy. Was able to fish this for a solid month with all kinds of baits that would get a strike or two. But the hogys always got hit. I ran out of hogys after my fist 3 days 21 Tarpon strikes with 12 landed.

-No doubts that Hogy lure drives all tarpon crazy! They love it!

-18 Tarpon in the air! More facial scrapes than Tiger Woods.

Ling Cod, Rock Fish:

- I was doing some bottom fishing in Morro Bay for Rockfish and Lings. We were fishing with cut up squid catching a nice variety of Rockfish. When the bite slowed down I decided to rig up a 10inch Hogy Drop shot style and through it to the bottom. By the time I hit the bottom my Rod tip was jerking very hard. I reeled down on the fish and had several headshakes on the way up. When I finally boated the fish it was a 25lb lingcod (Jackpot). The ling demolished the bait but hey that's fishing and I had plenty more. After that my buddies were begging me to lend them one of my Hogy's. I fished my Hogy's for the remainder of the trip and also pulled in some 8-10lb Red Snapper. Next time I go out I am going to tie on two and see how that works. Thanks for developing an awesome bait. Happy Holidays and Bent Rods”

As Cobia Lures:

-I used them during the cobia run in st augustine Florida. And these are the best product that I have ever used to catch cobia with.”

- HOGYS WORK!

- 62 lbs cobia. at Hatteras NC.

- The very first I ever tossed a Hogy I caught a large cobia who would not touch ANY other lure. Thanks Hogy!

As Redfish Lures:

- On November 20 of this year caught and released a 42inch Redfish from my kayak using a Hogy...

- Over two seasons when no one was catching fish, Hogys were the only lures that produced for me, I think because of their more realistic.
