Pocket Umbrella Rigs Hogy Pocket Umbrella Rigs: The soft-bait umbrella rig simulates a small school of baitfish. Casting: The 6" Umbrella rig is small and light enough to cast. These umbrella rigs are built to saltwater specs but equally appropriate for freshwater. Total frame weight: 1oz. For added weight, small jig heads can be used. Kayaks: The super light frame lends itself to slow kayak speeds. Small profile allows for easy rigging on a kayak. Shallow Water Trolling: Both the 6" and 8" rigs are suitable for shallow water trolling. For added weight, we recommend lead core fishing line. Open Water Trolling: Our 8" Umbrella rig is made with a 3x strong frame, strong enough to handle fish up to 200lbs. For added weight, we recommend heavy trolling sinkers or wire line.
